On the afternoon of August 30, on the occasion of the annual meeting of the President of the Chinese Hospital, Fu Xiaobing, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Li Zongyu, chairman of the Wound Repair Branch of the Chinese Medical Promotion Association, and other experts visited the Wound repair Department of Liyuan Hospital for in-depth guidance. It was highly appreciated that Liyuan Hospital focused on clinical needs, innovated specialty construction, and promoted the development of the hospital with new quality productivity.
In 2001, Liyuan Hospital set up an independent Bone Disease Center (the predecessor of Wound repair Department). After 23 years of development, it has remarkable characteristics in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic foot, stress injury, peripheral vascular ulcer and other diseases, and is a key clinical specialty construction unit of the National Health Commission. The hospital has an annual appointment of more than 5,000 outpatient visits, an annual treatment of more than 3,000 patients, and an annual operation volume of more than 2,500, and the specialty scale is in the forefront in the central and southern region and even the whole country. The hospital also led the establishment of the "Hubei Province Diabetic Foot Specialist Alliance", which currently has 67 member units, covering secondary and above medical institutions in cities, counties (districts) across Hubei Province, not only promoting the attention of medical institutions at all levels in the region to wound repair disciplines, but also realizing centralized treatment of wound patients, effectively reducing treatment costs and hospital stay. It promotes the simultaneous development of wound repair discipline construction in the Alliance.
Academician Fu and his team went to the ward, nurse station, dressing room and clinical medical research Center of Chronic wound and diabetic foot of the wound repair Center for investigation and guidance. He spoke highly of the construction of the specialty system of Liyuan Hospital. He pointed out that Liyuan Hospital closely follows the people's health needs, takes the diagnosis and treatment of chronic wounds as the starting point, promotes the common development of relevant disciplines, and forms the "Liyuan model" with the disciplinary system as the radiation source, which not only improves the overall treatment and treatment capacity of the hospital for chronic wounds, but also provides strong support for the construction of wound repair disciplines in surrounding regional medical institutions.
During the visit to the ward, Academician Fu carefully asked about the patient's condition and treatment process, and appreciated the service ability of Liyuan Hospital in solving the clinical problems of chronic refractory body surface wounds. Hospitals can make patients feel at ease and satisfied, which is the concrete embodiment of meeting people's health needs. Academician Fu stressed that the development of new quality productivity in hospitals is to innovate discipline construction and effectively solve the practical problems and difficulties of patients.
In the subsequent symposium with hospital experts, Fu Xiaobing encouraged the hospital to explore and strengthen the deep integration of clinical research and basic research on chronic wounds. He pointed out that the collection of epidemiological data of diabetic foot in Hubei and the courage to overcome scientific problems are the key to enhancing the core competitiveness of the discipline. The hospital is at a leading level in the key measures and technologies for the prevention and control of diabetic foot ulcers, which is the result of the deep integration of clinical research and basic research.
Xu Xiangyang, president of Liyuan Hospital, said: The hospital will continue to uphold the "patient-centered" service concept, continue to innovate and develop new quality productivity through specialty construction, promote the development of the hospital, provide more Liyuan solutions to solve clinical problems, and make due contributions to the construction of healthy China.
